Dr. Simon Phillips is Vice President, Laboratory Operations at The Fertility Partners, providing scientific and laboratory leadership across the network with a focus on quality, standardization, and continuous improvement. A clinical embryologist with more than 30 years of experience, he is widely recognized for his contributions to embryology practice, education, and professional governance. 

Dr. Phillips trained in London, UK in the laboratory of Professor Robert Edwards and holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and is certified as a Laboratory Director by the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS). He has played a significant leadership role within CFAS, serving as President and Board Director, co-authoring national competency and qualification guidelines, and acting as Lead Examination Reviewer for the CFAS certification examination. 

An accomplished researcher and educator, Dr. Phillips has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters and serves as a lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montreal. In his role at The Fertility Partners, he partners closely with laboratory and clinic teams to strengthen scientific standards, support best practices, and ensure consistent, high-quality laboratory outcomes across the network.
